I’m so happy you found this slice of the internet! This travel blog will be focused on all things adventure travel, from visiting obscure countries such as Turkmenistan and Mauritania, to embarking on micro-adventures in your backyard.
Who am I?
My name is Jessie and I’ve been actively traveling since 2012 after my first international trip to Nicaragua. Since then, I have traveled to 35 countries, all 7 continents, and 22 states in the USA. As much as I’ve had a passion for travel, I spent my 20s focusing on a more traditional path: went to college, then graduate school, got married, bought a home, and worked a 9-5 job. Despite looking very “successful” on paper, I was unhappy. I created my first travel blog, Lady Red Travel, as an outlet for graduate school and work stress, which then pivoted to relieving another kind of stress of “when are you going to slow down your travels and have kids?”
Fast forward to 2025 and I’m now divorced, I no longer “own” a home, and I’m starting my life over in Wilmington, North Carolina. I’m learning to balance embarking on micro-adventures in my new home while nurturing that sense of wanderlust that takes me all over the globe.

Who is this travel blog for?
I have decided to retire my first blog, Lady Red Travel, as that moniker no longer serves me (it was created from the mutual friend who introduced me to my ex back in college). But I still wanted to have a blog where I can share my travel stories and tips. My best friend and travel partner suggested “Out of Pages” in honor of my pursuit to run out of passport pages. And here we are!
I want this blog to be a space for non-conforming, travel enthusiasts who want to travel authentically while running “out of pages”. This blog will also focus on ethical and responsible travel whenever possible (while also acknowledging that I’m not perfect!). The travel space is crowded with travel influencers who are visiting just for the perfect Instagram or TikTok reel. This blog will go deeper than that, focusing on culture, nature, and adventure. I hope you enjoy!
